BIG Scholarship
Blackland Income Growth (BIG) is awarding scholarships to outstanding 4-H members in Blackland Prairie counties. The scholarships will be presented at the BIG Luncheon on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIPS There will be ten (10) Blackland Income Growth scholarships awarded for the amount of $1000 each. County 4-H Food Challenge and Food Show Contests
Our county 4-H Food Challenge and Food Show contests will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2014, out at the FCS/Annex Building at the Limestone County Fairgrounds. We do have three Food Challenge kits in the office that may be checked out by teams, please call ASAP to reserve one. Kits must be reserved and picked up in advance of the contest and returned clean! Fall 4-H Festival
The Limestone County Fall 4-H Festival will be held on Saturday, September 13 at the Confederate Reunion Grounds. The festival, a “come and go” event from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm around the pavilion, will mark the beginning of the new 4-H year. The public is invited to come and meet 4-H leaders and members and to participate in games and activities. Admission to the site is free for participants of this event. 4-H and Youth Development Advisory Board
If you would like to play a part in directing the 4-H program in Limestone County, apply to be a board member! You do NOT need to be a 4-H member to apply. We also welcome adult applicants. You have to be approved as a board member before attending meetings. Deadline for spring is March 31, 2014. Shooting Sports Coaches Training
Shooting Sports Coaches Training for Archery, Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun in Kerrville on April 26-27, 2014. This training is open to potential coaches across the state. Registration will be done through 4-H Connect: Registrations will open on March 17, 2014 and closes on April 11, 2014. Please pay close attention to the deadline! Cost is $120.
