Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes Classes!

Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes is a five-class series covering basic nutrition and self-care management topics. The program helps people with diabetes learn the skills needed to manage their disease successfully. Certified Food Manager Re-test

Professional Food Manager class

A professional food protection management class will be held on February 17th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in room G-13 of the County Courthouse, 200 W. State Street, Groesbeck. Step Up and Scale Down – Groesbeck location!

Due to the popularity of Step Up and Scale Down, we have added a second class series.  This time we will be meeting in Groesbeck at the Limestone Medical Center, in the boardroom. Classes meet on Thursdays, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, beginning on February 13th.  Class will continue for 12 weeks. FREE Limestone County Senior Celebration!

Celebrating Limestone County’s Senior Citizens is the order of the day on December 6th, 2013.  This “Senior Celebration” will take place from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Mexia Senior Center, 111 North Sherman Street, Mexia, and will feature local entertainment, refreshments, games, activities, and health checks.  A free gift will be given out to the first 100 guests! FREE Healthy Holidays & Gifts Class

Trying to stay healthy during the holiday season can be a challenge.  Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Limestone County is offering a class to meet this challenge!  “Healthy Holidays & Gifts” will feature cooking demonstrations of healthy holiday recipes and the chance to taste each dish.  The two hour class also will cover cutting salt and fat and adding fiber to recipes; and coping with holiday stress.  We will make a few healthy holiday gifts to take home, as well.
